Happy to announce the debut of 禄 SHIRO's first collections of handcrafted wax flowers, each carefully sculpted petal by petal. Each item from the lines revealed by 禄 SHIRO draws inspiration from the delicate Japanese art of botan-ningyō, the craft of creating life-like blooms in wax.
With these collections, available on www.itsmine.ro, 禄 SHIRO invites you to experience beauty in its softest, most ephemeral form.
The name SHIRO translates to white in Japanese — a color symbolizing simplicity, beginnings, and light. The character 禄 (pronounced roku) represents blessings, abundance, or grace received. Though these two kanji characters are not traditionally paired in Japanese culture, but we intentionally chose them to embody the spirit of 禄 SHIRO — a quiet offering of grace through simplicity.
The art of sculpting wax flowers goes beyond creating candles. Each piece is a gesture, a fragment of stillness, and an emotion you can hold. Every flower is meticulously handcrafted, inspired by the timeless tradition of botan-ningyō, resulting in emotional objects that don’t just illuminate a room but touch the heart.
“Expect the unexpeacted. Some of our visuals will be raw. Others, carefully curated. Because before beauty comes life — and life is often messy. Just like a lotus flower that blooms from the mud, or sunlight that returns after the rain, we believe in honouring what is real, not just what looks good on a screen. At 禄 SHIRO, we choose to speak, softly, about the beauty of imperfection. About lifting the veil of illusion — the constant pressure to present a polished life on social media — and, instead, embracing what is true. Yes, curated beauty sells. And yes, we sometimes choose it because we’re tired of the mess in our own lives. But 禄 SHIRO gently challenges those habits. These ephemeral pieces invite authenticity. They ask us to notice the quiet shimmer born from effort — like the shine of beeswax, crafted by a thousand tiny labours. That is the beauty we stand for.”, Maria Stan, 禄 SHIRO's collections passionate.
The three collections by 禄 SHIRO
❤️ AI — the language of love
The AI Collection (愛) — meaning love in Japanese — is an unwritten love letter, expressed not in words, but in wax. Each rose is sculpted by hand, layer by layer, capturing the timeless softness of affection. Designed for romantic gestures, intimate moments, and meaningful gifts, these candles are emotional objects that don’t just light up a space but gently warm the heart.
“Love is expressed through actions, sometimes in silence, in gestures. That’s what these roses are — small, quiet declarations.”
🌸 HANAMI — the joy of blossoming
The HANAMI Collection draws inspiration from the Japanese tradition of hanami, the ritual of watching cherry blossoms bloom and fade. This collection celebrates new beginnings, lightness, and the fleeting beauty of life. With peonies and ranunculus in soft pastel shades to dark velvety red, or sunkissed yellow, these pieces invite you to pause, notice, and cherish the present moment.
“Nothing lasts. That’s the beauty of it.”
🍂 KIRI NO HANA — flowers in the mist
KIRI NO HANA, meaning flowers in the mist, is the most introspective collection from 禄 SHIRO. Subtle, muted, and quiet, these candles are meant for me time, for rituals, still mornings, and spaces where personal "blooming" is welcome or simply decorating a room - inviting, thus, to a moment of warmth and recharge.
Featuring various flowers, the KIRI NO HANA Collection invites calm, focus, and presence.
“Light a flower. Watch it burn. Let go.”
A personal journey that began with sugar sculpting in 2010 and turned wax sculpting 5 years ago.
禄 SHIRO is meant to be more than just a brand or 3 collections — it is a meditation on impermanence, beauty, and love in its softest form. Each flower you see from 禄 SHIRO is handcrafted with care and intention.
For those who appreciate the ephemeral presence of these creations, we thank you for sharing in this experience. For all others, there is still time to discover the beauty — after all, this technique traces its roots back to the Edo period in Japan.
